Mattawoman Creek Art Center's 5th Annual
Art In The Park 5-K Fun-Run!
Please join us for Mattawoman Creek Art Center's 5th Annual "Art In The Park Fun-Run!" The walk/run course will traverse the beautiful natural surroundings of Smallwood State Park, situated on the Mattawoman Creek. The "Art In The Park 5-K" is a great way to enjoy the Autumn weather, explore nature, and appreciate beautiful works of art created by local artists in the DC Metro area.
Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome. Strollers are allowed, but must follow the runners. People-friendly dogs on a leash are Allowed. Awards will follow at the conclusion of the race.
Participants are welcome and encouraged to visit the gallery and gift shop. Proceeds from the 5-K registration and any gift shop purchases benefit the Mattawoman Creek Art Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Chick-fil-A will be donating sandwiches, or you can bring your own and enjoy your lunch in the picnic area. DATE: Saturday, October 26th, 2024 (RAIN DATE: Sunday, October 27th)
PLACE: Smallwood State Park, 2759 Sweden Point Road, Marbury, Maryland
TIME: Race is from 10am - 12pm Art Center and Gift Shop will be open in the afternoon and all
are welcome to visit and shop.
COURSE INFORMATION: Chip Timing will NOT be used. This is a FUN RUN. Most of the course will be on paved surfaces and will include a long footbridge crossing over wetlands.
ADULT ENTRY FEE: $34 (Shirts are not guaranteed for sign ups after October 3rd, 2024) *NO REFUNDS FOR THIS RACE
SENIOR (Age 60+) ENTRY FEE: $28 (Shirts are not guaranteed for sign ups after October 3rd, 2024)

YOUTH (18 & Under) ENTRY FEE: $19 (Shirts are not guaranteed for sign ups after October 3rd, 2024)

AGE 7 & Under: FREE (No T-shirts or medals will be provided)
ENTRY FEES INCLUDE: Entry to the park and Art Center, Souvenir T-Shirt (if registered on or before Oct 3rd), Medal, Water Stations and Snacks.
AWARDS: All participants will receive a custom certificate. Top male and female overall will each receive a trophy.
TIMELINE:
8:00-9:45am: Same day registration and pick up of race packets
9:45-9:55am: Warm up for runners
10:00am: 5K Run begins
10:10am: 5K Walk begins
12:30-1:00pm: Award Presentation
