7th Annual Fundraiser
RUN FOR THE ARTS
Join Mattawoman Creek Art Center for this festive fundraiser! The course for running or walking will traverse the beautiful natural surroundings of Smallwood State Park, situated on the Mattawoman Creek.
Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome. Strollers are allowed, but must follow the runners. People-friendly dogs on a leash are allowed. Awards will follow at the conclusion of the race.

Runner/Walker $35
Entry Fee:
Each runner/walker will receive a t-shirt and bib. As a finisher you are eligible for the cash prize of $100 and a commemorative medal of the run.​

​ COURSE INFORMATION: Chip Timing will NOT be used. This is a FUN RUN. Most of the course will be on paved surfaces and will include a long footbridge crossing over wetlands.

TIMELINE:
8:30 - 9:45 a.m. • Same day registration and pick up of race packets
9:45 - 9:55 a.m. • Warm up for runners
10:00 a.m. • Fun Run begins

AWARDS:
Register as an individual or be a part of a team. $100 Cash prizes awarded to the top female and male finishers. Group prize for the team with the most participants at the event, and the team/individual that raised the most funds.

HALLOWEEN CONTEST:
In the spirit of Halloween there will be prizes for:
- the best costume - adult and youth
- the best dressed pup
- the best dressed pair - can consist of 2 people,
2 pups, or 1 person and 1 pup
- scavenger hunt for pumpkins to win a prize

100% of the proceeds go directly to MCAC.
